1941 Born in Georgia, in the family of scene painter Vagharshak Elibekian

1960 Moved to Armenia and settled in Yerevan. The same year R.Elibekian entered Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts, department of painting

Since 1965 participated in numerous republican, all-union and international exhibitions

1970 Member of Artists’ Union of Armenia

1977 Got the title of the Merited Painter of Armenia

1981 Got the State prize

2001 Was awarded the Medal of Movses Khorenatsi of the Republic of Armenia

2004 Was awarded the prize of the President of Armenia

2007 Participated in the exhibition of Modern Armenian Fine Arts in Paris, Orangerie du Luxemburg

2008 Was awarded the title of People’s Painter of Armenia

2010 Representing the catalogue “New Masterpieces of Arame Gallery” Yerevan Armenia
